A small but fact-filled museum, the Chicago History Museum provides an excellent overview of the city’s past. For artifacts that have seen some of the city’s and country’s historic moments, don’t miss “The Secret Lives of Objects” exhibit, which features such objects like the table where Robert E. Lee surrendered during the Civil War.
